Not long ago, there were two basic shoe colours, even for women: black and brown. Now shoes are full of colour and pattern and even texture. Powerful divas like Rihanna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Cheryl Cole have brought these loud shoes off of the fashion runways and into the mainstream. So now, instead of deciding between black and brown us ladies have tons of options. If a designer can think of a colour or pattern, a shoe is immediately made in it.Bright shoes are a great way to spice up a monotone outfit. One of the most popular looks is a little black dress with bright red shoes. Or maybe a purple dress with neon yellow shoes. There are no rules really. The more simple the outfit, the crazier the shoes should be. It is not uncommon to see girls wearing skinny jeans with a simple shirt and some super high heels in an insanely bright colour, like cobalt or fuchsia. The trend is bright and it doesn't seem to be going away. The brighter and bolder shoes, the more they exude self-confidence and charisma.
On the opposite end of the spectrum are nude heels. This shade was all over the red carpet this year for every event. Almost every female, whether actress, singer, or date, had on a luxurious gown with nude heels on her feet. The trick of nude heels is that the nude colour elongates the legs, making one continual line from the hips to the feet, and the heel aspect of the shoe adds tonal dimension to the legs. Nude heels are a great way to create the illusion of having supermodel legs for those of us who fall short. Anybody can pull off this look, and if you have an especially nice even coming up, try to wear nude heels with your dress, especially if it is a short dress. Your legs will look three miles long and you will feel like a movie star all night long.
